Six Pack Carriers

I’m all about projects with a purpose.

A few years ago, I had a holiday party for the Math Department and had a few random beers in the fridge. I had already thrown away the packaging and showed up to the party toting my drinks in a plastic grocery bag. It made me feel like a hobo.

Never again.

Brother Brett

My brother, Brett, just graduated from UNK with a degree in Graphic Design.

For his senior show, he designed a product line around a beef company. I helped him make a display case and butcher block for his show.

My oldest brother, Austin, is like a surgeon with a chainsaw and cut six pieces of elm for the butcher block, all 18″X36″X3″, out of some fallen trees from my family’s ranch in Halsey, NE. My Dad welded the base and thankfully put it on casters because it ended up weighing about 300 pounds.

Things are getting real.

I don’t have many memories of my Grandpa Rickert, but he was a woodworker and I still have all of the things he made me when I was young. His legacy inspires me to explore and expand my skills so I can share them with others.

When I found out Niki and I were going to have a child of our own, I wanted to create my own legacy, one that could be passed on for generations.

Wesley should have plenty of room to grow.

Cribbage Boards

I’ve made a handful of cribbage boards over the years, but these are special. They are the ceremonial crib boards for Cribbage Club at Lincoln High School. Yours truly serves as the sponsor of this elite group.

Each board is designed to fold out during play and then clasp shut to store the deck of cards and pegs.
